The First International Conference on Hot Stamping of UHSS will be held on August, 2014 in Chongqing, China. Chongqing is a famous historic and cultural city with beautiful mountains and rivers, and an important automotive industry base in China. The conference will be another international grand convention in China after the very successful previous four meetings on hot forming of high-performance steel sheet held in Europe.
Since 2000, Chinese automotive industry keeps sustainable and rapid development and has achieved a remarkable accomplishment attracting worldwide attention. Over the last few years the production and marketing in China is always the first throughout the world. China has become the last and biggest automotive market in the world. As energy-saving emission reduction and safety are always the focus during the development of automotive industry, the light-weight of vehicle is the most direct and effective means. However, light-weight can not affect safety, as an advanced cost-effective technology of automotive component, hot stamping can realize both the light-weight and ensurence of safety. Because of this, hot stamping has developed at a breathtaking speed as soon as the technology enters China, More than 40 production lines have been completed and realized trial production in just a few years. The huge market demand encouraged the development of hot stamping technology. According to the development of Chinese automotive industry, hot stamping in China has great market potential and business opportunities. China has become the emerging developing base of hot stamping technology which arouses the interest from concerned companies, universities, scientific researchers all over the world.
Just in this situation, we decided to convene Chinese first International Hot Stamping conference. The conference will provide a platform to the academic and industrial peers for:
- 1.Exchange platform for hot stamping technology and academic research achievement;
- 2.International stage for exhibition and the exchange of hot stamping technology application achievement;
- 3.Understanding development platform in the future about research and application of hot stamping technology in China and the world.
The conference will provide an opportunity to meet old friends, make new friends, exchange information, share the achievements and look forward to the future.
In addition to academic exchanges, the conference will also invite relevant enterprises to exhibit technology and achievements, and organize some exciting technological and social visits in return for delegates.

Authors from the worldwide are welcome to gather at this international academic convention. The conference will collect 300 papers and all accepted papers will be indexed by EI.
